As a paperless company, DEMAT STORE must be exemplary in providing the utmost level of care and respect to our environment. Our goal is to work in a responsible way effectively, economically and environmentally in everything we do.
To this extent we have implemented policies and practices:
• All lighting and electrical appliances (except for our servers) are switched off overnight in order to save energy. Whenever electrical device are fitted with a backup energy function, it is activated. Wherever possible we avoid using incandescent bulbs.
• DEMAT STORE has joined the materials recycling and commercial waste scheme in every product used from supplying companies.
• To help reducing our carbon footprint, we have selected courier services actively trying to reduce their environmental impact.
• DEMAT STORE offers products made with recycled materials.
• DEMAT STORE makes every effort to use packaging made from recycled materials.
• DEMAT STORE policy is to encourage all of its employees in echoing the company’s environmental commitment through recycling and energy preservation.
• All DEMAT STORE employees make every effort to get to work by means saving energy and carbon footprint ie using public transport or walking when or where possible.
• We encourage all our customers and suppliers to share our concerns for the environment.
Green Datacentre Cooling Energy Saver
DEMAT STORE has an industrial cooling liquid system on every dedicated servers. The electrical power required to run air conditioners has therefore been reduced by 60%. The implementation of EcoRooms allowed a reduction of 90% of the energy required to run air conditioners in the datacentre. DEMAT STORE provides technology and "Green Data Centre Cooling Energy Saver", which delivers less than 10% of the total energy of datacentre cooling. The remaining 90% of energy is needed to power the servers. Thanks to 45nm processors our servers’ electricity consumption has been reduced by a further 30% while increasing the computing capacity by approximately a third. Respect of the environment is a major trend in DEMAT STORE’s technological development.
